How do I maintain proper lighting for my bonsai tree?
Last Updated: 04/04/2011
Good lighting is a crucial aspect for keeping your bonsai healthy and green. There are no simple straight answers as to how much light bonsai trees require. The amount of light will vary depending on the location the bonsai tree is kept to the specific variations of your bonsai species. Natural sunlight is by far the best type of lighting for bonsai trees. The natural sunlight helps photosynthesize and nourish the plant. For indoor bonsai trees, the best lighting would be the brightest window. Try to avoid windows that received an intense source of heat from lighting. Most bonsai trees need plenty of natural light, and should be protected from blazing midday sun.
