Care Information

The success of your plant depends on a variety of factors, most notably watering and light. Below are some species specific guidelines to follow that will help ensure that your plant will stay healthy and happy.

Pruning Tips:
Dracaena do not require frequent pruning, just cut back browning or yellow leaves that occur naturally as the plant grows.

Fertilizing:
Fertilize infrequently, only once every month or so during the Spring.

Lighting:
This plant enjoys low to moderate indoor light. Too much sun may cause leaf burn.

Temperature Requirements:
Dracaenas enjoy moderate indoor climates.

Watering Requirements:
Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Dracaenas do best when watered with filtered or bottled water.

Repotting:
Repotting or transplanting your plant is a good way to ensure the soil maintains enough nutrients for the plant to thrive. We recommend repotting or transplanting as your plant begins to outgrow its planter.

Indoor / Outdoor:
This type of plant does best in an indoor setting.
