Succulents are water retaining plants that can adapt to harsh dry environments. They are extremely easy to care for and are available in variety of shapes, colors, and sizes. Their resilient nature makes them perfect for indoor terrariums as well as outdoor environments. Aeonium succulents grow in long stems with brightly colored rosettes that resemble flowers. They like a bit more moisture than other succulents, except in the summer months, when they may go dormant and don't require any water, except in very dry conditions. Aeoniums grow and root mainly during the winter.

Care Information

The success of your succulents depends on a variety of factors, most notably watering and light. Below are some guidelines to follow that will help ensure that your succulents will stay healthy and happy.

Pruning Tips:
Succulents leaves can be removed to start new offsets. Once succulents begin to outgrow the container, we recommend repotting them. Remove dried leaves to prevent pests.

We recommend fertilizing your succulent if the leaves begin to turn yellow or color is off. We recommend a succulent fertilizer such as Cactus Juice.

Succulents need natural sunlight to stay healthy so make sure to choose a bright location. If placed in full sunlight, colors will deepen, but watch the leaves for burning if the light is too intense. However, succulents can adapt very well to most locations.

Temperature Requirements:
Succulents prefer warmer locations. Protect them from freezing during the winter.

Watering Requirements:
Succulents can be easily overwatered which can lead to root rot. Water your succulents only when top inch of soil is completely dry. Water thoroughly, but allow container to fully drain and soil to dry before watering again.

If repotting, use a fast draining soil mix. This will prevent the development of root rot. If you do not have succulent soil mix, a 50/50 mixture of soil and sand is recommended.

Indoor / Outdoor:
Succulents can thrive both indoor and outdoor with the appropriate lighting requirements.
